The X100T and the glance
Lives in a van. Bimbles with a camera. Often pointing his pixel box at scruff. Has been known to run long distances. Would consider cake as a form of payment. Recovering.
I’m finishing this weeks’ newsletter from a coffee shop in Cambridge, UK. Yes, after 6 months on the road in the van, I’m back in Blighty. I have a few things to get sorted over the next week, including getting a a gas leak fixed, and then hope to head north to Scotland for a few weeks, including a much delayed hop across to The Isle of Mull.
The Autumnal colours as I made my way through Germany and over into Belgium have me rather excited for the potential in Scotland, however with, I’m sure at least one more named storm bearing down on the UK, I also wonder will there be any foliage left by the time I arrive.
Still, colour or not, I’m not going to sweat it — what will be, will be.
Life’s a tapestry of swearing at the lack of light and watching a perfect rainbow form over an industrial estate instead of the loch. Oh, and let’s not forget the times I’ve left behind a battery, a filter, or, on occasion, the whole damn camera bag.
Honestly… don’t sweat it.

A few weeks ago I found myself in the middle of a huge medieval festival in Le Puy en Velay (France). It was fantastic, with pretty much the whole town dressing up for the occasion. The little Fuji X100T got quite a work-out, including wandering the streets at night, the ISO, auto-focus and movement clearly pushing it to its limits - and way beyond.

I quite liked this set, which caught a few glances of folks as they moved through the shadows, away into the darkness. A moment half caught. A glance. And then gone.
And yes - lots of technical imperfections, but hey .. sue me … mead was involved :)

The Vloggy Section
I’m busy making quite a few new vlogs for the channel, and I hope to start posting again before the end of the year. In the meantime, a few from days gone by.
Thanks so much for allowing me a few moments of your time. I hope you have enjoyed my words and images, and if so a quick share amongst your own community will help spread the word.
And if you really enjoyed it you can even consider throwing a few pennies into the tips jar. It helps most with diesel costs for the van to keep me on the road making images.

good stuff
Fun series! Enjoy your fall feast of colors. It’s been some weeks late this year up in Norway so, barring the possible wind storm you mentioned, there’s a chance for you in Scotland, I would think.
